Panel Literature Association – Full Branding & Website

Tags: Branding · Web UX · Art direction · Editorial design

Project Overview

This case study covers the long-term visual and digital development of the Panel Literature Association, a cultural organization whose identity I created entirely from the ground up. I defined the visual style, designed and continuously evolved the website, and shaped the look and feel of all publications and public-facing materials.

Rather than a single launch project, this work represents ongoing authorship and creative ownership, adapting as the association publishes new books, organizes events, and collaborates with artists.

Role

Art Director · Design Lead

Scope

Visual identity, website design, book and publication design, event visuals, ongoing creative direction

Context

Cultural organization · Literature, art, and design · Long-term collaboration

Format

Continuous development · Evolving brand and digital presence

The Challenge

The association began without an existing visual identity or digital platform. The challenge was to create a distinctive and recognizable visual language that could:

  • Unite literature, art, and design under one coherent style

  • Support a growing range of activities (publications, events, collaborations)

  • Remain flexible and relevant over time

  • Balance expressive, cultural aesthetics with clarity and usability

The identity needed to feel authored and intentional, while allowing space for different artistic voices.

My Role & Ownership

I led the project end-to-end, owning both the creative direction and the hands-on design work. I defined the visual language, designed all key materials, and continue to evolve the brand and website as the association grows.

My role covered:

  • Creating the full visual identity from zero

  • Designing and maintaining the website with a focus on usability and consistency

  • Designing books, magazines, and print materials

  • Defining the visual direction of events and exhibitions

  • Selecting and collaborating with artists

  • Ensuring coherence across print, digital, and physical spaces

This long-term ownership ensures continuity while allowing the identity to evolve naturally.

Visual Direction & Influences

The visual language is rooted in strong typographic structure and editorial composition, combined with playful and expressive elements. My background in cinema informs the pacing, composition, and atmosphere of the work, drawing on classic visual principles while embracing experimental and animated influences.

The result is a style that feels timeless yet alive — structured but open to interpretation and collaboration.

Website & Ongoing Evolution

The website was designed as a living platform rather than a static showcase. I continuously refine structure, content presentation, and usability as new books are published and events are organized, ensuring the digital presence grows alongside the association.
