Art & Science

“I don’t think there’s any question that a variety of our mental dispositions are ones that discourage us from taking evolutionary theory as seriously as it should be taken,” explains Robert N. McCauley, director of the Center for Mind, Brain, and Culture at Emory University and author of the book Why Religion is Natural and Science is Not.

“People seem to take more comfort from a stance that says, someone designed the world with good intentions, instead of that the world is just an intention-less, random place,” says Norenzayan. “This is especially true when we feel a sense of threat, or a feeling of not being in control.”

“If people will don’t trust the institution of science, we’re in serious trouble” – A climatologist (IPCC)

I think in this case the art can be really useful. The collaboration of art and science has all the power to reach the human’s brains. We can take the facts them in and represent them in a more accessible way. Starting from imfographics and till interactive virtual realities
As in previous post I touched the movie topic. I should also tell about an amazing documentary “The Human”. HUMAN is a collection of stories and images of our world, offering an immersion to the core of what it means to be human. Through these stories full of love and happiness, as well as hatred and violence, HUMAN brings us face to face with the Other, making us reflect on our lives. From stories of everyday experiences to accounts of the most unbelievable lives, these poignant encounters share a rare sincerity and underline who we are – our darker side, but also what is most noble in us, and what is universal. Our Earth is shown at its most sublime through never-before-seen aerial images accompanied by soaring music, resulting in an ode to the beauty of the world, providing a moment to draw breath and for introspection.

HUMAN is a politically engaged work which allows us to embrace the human condition and to reflect on the meaning of our existence.

We can explain. Art makes life brighter, even if you don’t understand the deep meanings, you automatically interpret the signs. Art helps to activate right part of human’s brains to impirialically absorb the message and not to reach the idiocracy reality.
I explored tons of examples what is making our planet not dead yet. The recycling housing, different energy solutions (energy from rain in France, the idea of Solar system of Elon Musk)…..But the most bright and working ideas, in my opinion, are based on humans attitude. If we will choose post-truth or post-factual society, the progress will stop, the evolution will fail. And above all, the global warming will appear.
